Hi. As a new OB member, who really loves lots of flowers, I have 2 things to contribute: first, as a home grower, I added a light called "wonderlite" (5, actually), and it has helped me grow and bloom everything - even Catts. Second, I found a web site (link to follow) that lists "long and frequently blooming orchid species". Hope this might be helpful.

I have a Memoria Cecilia Rimland Phalaenopsis that flowered for almost 7 months with 2 spikes of flowers.

I also have an Epidendrum pretty princess 'tropical yellow' x joseph lil 'kate' that is currently blooming on 3 spikes and has been for almost 7 months.

I only have 14 orchids so far and still consider myself a beginner but these have helped color the room while the others go in and out of bloom!

Definitely Paph Pinnochio. Mine hasn't stopped blooming for years! Also - and I don't know how normal this is - but this year my dend. bracteosum has been flowering since last spring. It's putting out new clusters even now. That's never happened before. It's always been a spring/summer bloomer for me.

EDIT: I just got a Psychopsis kalihi in bloom this week, with two more spikes coming up! If it is as consistent as I hear, I am very excited!
And yes, restrepias are good too. My Scaphosepalum anchoriferum from Andy's Orchids blooms randomly throughout the year.

I think I have you all beat! My Moth Orchid Mulberry Silkus has been in bloom for over 15 years! Of course the flowers and leaves need a occasional cleaning/dusting and most important, never over head water the Silkus!

Try Epi. radiatum. 6 mos. (OK, it doesn't quite meet your criteria) but also has a great fragrance.

Hello,

I have a Uniwai Pearl and I'm not sure if it needs a rest period or not. Since you've had sucj good success with your uniwai hybrid, I thought you might be able to help me out with some info on them. It is a fairly old plant with about 12 old canes and has 3 new canes growing without a sign of a flower yet.

In regards to an everblooming orchid, I would recommend the Vanda Hybrid Wong Poh Nee. Small ish flowers with pink and purple but with a beautiful perfume. The last flower on the spike is just falling and a new flower spike is already growing.

Good record, but I heard that this spicies is prone to silk worms.

I'm not sure. We don't have silk worms here. It's very hardy though, and quite fastgrowing - for a Vanda anyway.../Users/jessehargraves/Desktop/Wong Poh Nee sml.jpg

I don't know if this one has been mentioned yet (not willing to read through all 11 pages) but Paphiopedilum "Nike's Sunny Delight" blooms without stopping. I bought it a few months ago as it was just putting up a flower stalk, thus far, it has produced 4 flowers sequentially and just keeps going. I also have long lasting results with Zygonesia cynosure (Sp) "Blue Birds" and Phal "Brother Sarah Gold" (bonus, fragrant Phal). The Brother Sarah has waxy blooms, which I swear make it last longer.
