Just in case anyone here is interested, it's a species catt. Cattleya warscewiczii 'Firmin Lambeau' FCC/RHS.
Have I bid yet? Well....no....I'm waiting til the last second to put my bid in!!!
Seriously, I wish I had it!! But, I don't look to add it to my collection any time this century.

Really? I searched for it out of curiosity and couldn't find it. Could you link it up for us?
I did see a bunch in the high $1,000-2000s, though.

Wow, that is hilarious! I wouldnt pay $30 for that scrawny little thing! It has never even bloomed either. How do the sellers even know what the flower will look like?? I gotta say, who ever pays for that thing deserves to get ripped off. A fool and his money are soon parted and this plant is no exception!

I agree. If I only had two of these plants, I could pay off my Honda today--and still have a little money left over for a pizza. :-) While I think you can find some decent plants on EBay, I'm always amazed to see certain species listed for outrageous prices. Cattleya walkeriana is one--and the condition of many of the ones listed for crazy prices look like they've been grown very poorly. That unflowered C. warscewiczii does look a bit ratty. Hopefully whoever decides to blow their money on it won't brag too much to anyone about what they spent.

Maybe it's "on sale" now...I see the Buy It Now price at a mere $5000.00

At least the shipping is reasonable.

I can't believe you folks aren't just jumping at the chance to own that!?!
Btw, I have an air guitar rumored to once have been owned by Jimmy Hendrix. You can own it for just $5000

This plant is actually a very famous orchid and quite valuable. The price is ridiculous for such a small scrap of a plant.
