I pot my Phals up to 8" pots with no trouble. I use what called a mum pot which are shorter than most regular pots but deeper than bulbpans. I've used deeper pots and invert regular 2 or 3" pots in the bottom. I've used coconut liner in 14" wire baskets and filled with mix. When disassembled, I found the bottom of the liner was wet and rotting and holding too much moisture in the bottom of the basket. Watch out for those liners. Now I make holes in them first and cover with a pot chip. It works much better.
