Default Delayed Reaction

I recently finished repotting my phals...I know should have done this a month or so ago but lazy me! Anyway, I was wondering in my laziness, after repotting, have any of you found a lag time before new vegetive growth (leaves) begins? Once again I'm too lazy to search the board for the answer...and there may be no double-blind scientific answer...just wondering what some of you have found with your plants...and not only phals, other chids, too????
