We are using 6mm multi wall Poly-gal polycarbonate sheets on the roof and three of the sides and on the side by the pond we are using 3/16" acrylic sheets.

All that space will be filled and then some. My husband built me a little greenhouse a couple of years back for Christmas. He framed it himself and used two layers of translucent core-plast (it's the stuff used to make political yard signs, except no color). The roof is a uv resistant clear plastic material that we got at one of the box stores. It came with little caps and all. I have loved it, my orchid collection has loved it and the collection has grown. Also, my friends bring me their sad little orchids for a stay at the "spa". Because I have managed to fill the space and then some, I will be limiting my "spa" intakes!! Enjoy! I noticed you are a member of HOTOS! I enjoy your group. If I didn't live so far away, I would definitely participate in more meetings. How did the show go last weekend? I wanted to come down and work (and buy....), but current projects at work have kept me overwhelmed!

Great job on those benches, and the electric outlets will sure come in handy!

Congratulations. It must be awesome to have the yard space to build these things.

Please don't forget to post pics when the projects are finished!!

We have just had a conservatury built, and although I don't have many orchids, I'm so pleased to have somewhere to put them, so they'll be happy. I was running out of window ledges! Photo attached, before it's finished.

Does this conservatory need separate heating or do you just leave the door open to the house? Really is nice looking.
