I am usually very reluctant to apply any herbicide or anything that is potentially detrimental to orchids within the greenhouse. That is until the tropical weeds decided to invade the nutrient rich areas below the plant benches thus creating ideal areas for insects and other pests to find refuge. The greenhouse has a concrete floor and so it was easier to spray with a special funnel shaped hood over the spray head and therefore control any peripheral misting that would cause a problem. My benches are also 1 meter high and so if I spray on a calm day and in the early morning, there is no obvious danger to the orchids. I also give the greenhouse floor a thorough power washing a day after and now there is no more plant invasion and algae growth.

Jerry, I used to be worried about that too, but by spraying a coarse spray rather than finer mist, I have not had any issues.

Make sure one of those ends is easily disassembled, for when you add on next year!

Nice work bonsai1524. Are you using real glass?

I used to build houses for Green Thumb Nursery in Apopka, Fl. They were like big erector sets & came from Holland. We sprayed the glass with white paint to diffuse the light.
