Mine is under construction, I just came from buying the roof struts...but here's what I got so far:
Once I get this portion covered and finished, I'll move all the plants out of the the existing shade house, into the new half. Then, I'll knock down the old half, and connect through (to the porch)!
i just did the final measurement and it will be about 65 square feet. much smaller than i thought it would be without measuring. the shed looks bigger than it really is! i also drew on a few picture with the measurements so you can get the idea.
I tried to demonstrate what I was referring to like this:
Hope this comes through the document-exchange process unscathed. The dashed lines represent new greenhouse and the solid lines the shed. I'd keep the whole shed and use that as the entrance to the GH.
You don't need a concrete floor (might not even want one) for entire length. In your climate, you might only need a few stakes to anchor the edges and corners? Don't know the codes down there.
Well.. one day there was a big storm and a resulting tornado wiped out my orchid greenhouse, leaving a salad of orchid plants, twisted benches and glass ... very little was rescued and for years I left the remaining cement slab empty and barren, a symbol of my orchid losses. An extensive gravestone. Then, 6 years later I decided to rebuild and begin a new collection, covering the old cement base with a new greenhouse structure. Here are some photos of the actual work. It was exactly what I needed and the orchids also love it. Now I have to fill in the areas and make it more comfortable for all.

WOW, Tropic...you don't kid around, do you? Those are seriously, huge GH's. Congratulations and glad you've gotten beyond all that devistation you went through. I'm sure it felt very defeating but that's so in the past. Now it's time for NEXT.......
