That would be a big help. I might be helping out my botany professor building his attached to his home this summer. I don't know the first thing about making greenhouses.

You won't regret building it. I built a free standing in March of this year. So many spikes now, I can't believe I didn't build it sooner. Enjoy and don't hurt yourself hammering. Mojomick

1) 200 square feet sounds huge, but you'll want it bigger in no time (trust me on that one), so consider bigger, if you can.
2) When you design it, try to keep it as close to a cube as possible - roof as high as the length of the sides, square as opposed to long and narrow - as that gives you the least surface-to-volume ratio, making it easier to maintain stable temperatures and minimizing the heating demand.

I am in the final stages of building my lean-to greenhouse and I reallly enjoyed the construction phase. I have one suggestion....plan, plan, plan ahead. I got so enthused about getting the structure going that I neglected to put in water supply and drainage before I put in the foundation. Now I have to dig under the footer for my pipes.
This is why I am still a Learner

gone with the shed! the whole thing is going to be a greenhouse!i plan for it to be about 300 square feet. my sunroom is 500 square feet and i can grow all of my orchids in there and still have plenty of space for more so 300 sq. ft. should be plenty. right?

"While" - noun - (Wh-eye-l); An indeterminate length of time, whose value varies with the context. Example: 1) Boss telling when you'll get a raise - about 6 months to a year. 2) Running out of orchid-growing space - about 2-3 months

Good feedback on the design Ray.
Isn't the philosophy - Decide on how large a greenhouse you want and them double it.

i wish i could go bigger but it looks like i am going to have to go smaller (like 150 sq. ft). i guess i can keep the phals paphs, and other low to low-medium light orchids in the sun room and the medium-high to high light ones in the greenhouse.
