Repotting Phal after root rot

My friend who is 94 and grows hundreds of phals. uses aliflor, perlite, charcoal.....fertilizes when he waters and usually waters every 5-7 days. I agree that many growers have different mixes that work equally well but this is what he uses. Good luck
