Blooming Paravanda Mecca's Candy

This plant is Paraphalaenopsis laycockii x Vanda teres. I got it in a three inch pot from Carter and Holmes four years ago. At the end of last year, for the first time, it put out two small buds that broke through the tissue and stopped everything. About two months later it put out three more buds. The last three grew to about 1/4 in and stopped. All of the buds appear alive and healthy. I am wondering now if it will ever bloom. If anyone has experience with this plant, please tell me what to expect from it.

Don't know squat about the particular plant, but based upon the fact that both parents are terete-leaved, it obviously needs lots of sun, and is probably a fairly heavy feeder to go along with that.

The fact that it is budding-but-aborting suggests the plant is "almost there", so I'd have to recommend patience!

Ray, I moved it to the patio about two weeks ago. I hung it under a madagascar palm where it gets full sun most of the day.The last three buds may bloom because they are shiny and exude honeydew. I think this plant might be notorious for being difficult to bloom. I read once where someone wrote that they would like one but their grandchildren would be adults before it bloomed.
