1 Epidendrum pseudepidendrum it is not very demanding and the flowers are green and orange. A faithful bloomer.

2 Dendrobium crumentaum. Grows like a weed and I love that the whole plant forms bud and finishes flowering in less that a week. Pure white crystalline simultaneous bloomer.

3 Psychillis krugii. small flowers on a 5 ' spike. Comes from a dry forest so u can almost not care for it and it will bloom. Also a repeat bloomer

4 Oncidium carthagenense. Huge branching spike, produces many long lasting flowers. Big attractive leaves.

5 Aerangis kotschyana. Many white flowers with a long twisted spur. I grow mine mounted and in cattleya light. Beautiful leaves and nice thick roots

Just read the entire thread and I have to say a lot of these are girly, not bad at all, but girly. these flowers are all hermaphrodites, so there should really be a balance. I'll have to add a few plants. Pictures where they exist are mine.

Brassidium fangtastic 'bob henley' - big impressive and partially peloric
Dockrillia teretifolium - looks great mounted and overgrown
Rhynchovola David Sander and both of its parents:
Rhyncholaelia digbyana x Brassavola cucullata* (*already mentioned)
Den. kingianum - old canes reflowering is very 'wow'
Tolumnia pralor - great sweet scent (before this one I didn't think any tolumnia was scented)
Dendrochilum glumaceum - like the dockrillia, a small cluster of plants isn't that spectacular, but when it gets big it's graceful.
Zygopabstia bluebird - when it first opens the flower smells like fresh black pepper, but this changes over time to a sweet almost grapelike scent...I really want to eat them.
Pabstia jugosa - wish list easy grower
Cyrtopodium palmifrons - big
Cyrtopodium punctuatum - endangered

@^ it is a catasetum hybrid (I think?) mine is currently in spike and some blooms are beginning to bloom!once it stops blooming it will go into its sleep mode. Kawamotto orchids has had these on sale for a while now, with double spikes. I think others have had them as well. Mine has done wonderfully and is a very happy edition to my catasetum collection. In fact several on this board have this type of orchid. Its pretty easy to take care of...I love it!

The black flower is Monnierara Millenium Magic ‘Witch Craft.’ It's the darkest pigment I have seen, and overall an interesting looking hybrid, but I don't think it has a scent.

Hello, I know a lot of people like phals but let’s face it. They are becoming as common as the weed growing epidendrum radicans.
I do agree with some of the comments above about the den. Speciosum very showy plant as long as you can follow the rules. Lost of water and fertilizer while growing and no fertilizer and water in wimter. And If you grow speciosum might as well grow den. Nibile type which require similar care. Specimens such as den hagoromo ‘fuji’ and bonanza ‘okayama’ are beautiful and put out lots of flowers, and depending where you live, you can grow them outdoors.

Den speciosum? At least in southern California the only special thing they need is space... I don't dry mine out particularly... just cut back on water since they don't dry out as fast in winter, but they get treated like everybody else and bloom like crazy (like right now) I do dry out nobile-type Dens somewhat, but never bone-dry (In nature they get dew even when there is no rain, not 10% humidity)
