It seems that there are some pelorics that are cultivated. How well or long these phals hold this form is in question. So far my Phal equestris 'Gino' which has been awarded in it's peloric form has given me partially peloric blooms for it's last 2 flowerings. I would 'assume' that if it is stable within it's lineage, the probability of it remaining peloric would be higher than one that occurs randomly. I shall keep an eye on mine.
Doc I don't think there are any official designations for the degrees of peloric formation .. as it can appear semi-partial, partial, near full or full, etc...

Hi bikerdoc, I agree with the oyhers about it needing to have pedals similar to the pedals, here are a few photos of my peloric.

they are called mutations; which can happen for a no of reasons. some growers even use radiation to entice the flowers or plants to genetically mutate.
