DIY Flasking Medium for Vanilla planifolia
Greetings, currently developing a healthy V. Planifolia jungle through propagation by cuttings.
As a separate project I would like to attempt flasking V. Planifolia seeds.
Difficulties in Australia at the moment trying to import flasking media - P668/669, Sigma, OSP - for a number of reasons, mainly our biosecurity rules and regulations.
Have seen quite a few DIY media recipes for various orchids but haven’t yet found anyone with a recipe known to be successful with V. Planifolia.
If anyone has a good ‘brew’ and are prepared to share the recipe I would be very grateful.
