Can you spread viruses by using an unsanitized pruner to remove completely dried spikes from multiple plants? I use dispsable razor blades (thanks Roberta!) for pruning activities on live parts of plants and was wondering if I needed to do the same with dried spikes.
I doubt that disease can be spread if the spike is completely dry, since by that time the "connection' with the plant is pretty much gone. If there's still some green, then there would be a chance of exchanging "juices" though a small one.

Thanks Roberta, that has been the assumption I've been working under, glad to hear you agree.
