I grow mostly fragrant orchids in my basement under lights without UV. This is an interesting observation! Almost all of my orchids that are supposed to be fragrant, are fragrant, some of them powerfully so, but there are other that are not as fragrant as I expected based on popular knowledge. Maybe lack of UV is a reason for some of this. For instance, I acquired a Guaricyclia Kyoguchi for its fragrance, but it had none for me. I bought a second one, figuring I must have had a dud, but it just bloomed and no fragrance. Wonder if c guttata needs UV?
