How to use hydrogen peroxide on orchids
Seems like hydrogen peroxide is becoming more popular. But is it safe for orchids? Dr. John Finer (Professor Emeritus, soybean researcher, orchid breeder, and all round nice guy) started a YouTube channel called "The Plant Propagator" and joins me to discuss the potential uses and problems with peroxide.

No problem! I don't anticipate starting to use it, but hopefully this discussion will help folks use it more appropriately.

I'd be interested to hear what Dr. Finer has to say about using OTC isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) instead of hydrogen peroxide as a disinfectant in the situations he's describing using the peroxide for.

That's an interesting question! I'd like to do a follow up discussion with him and ask his opinion on a few things.

How would that compare to using disinfectants like Physan 20? Interesting topic, Steve.

Thank you for posting this video. I think more studies are needed on the use of hydrogen peroxide on plants in general. For now, I'll probably stick to Physan 20.
