I have some Sophronitis seedlings in the same tank,same treatment, same mix, but finer in the top half of the pot and they're killin it...but they are in clay,too.I suspect there is no shortage of wicking from the LECA to the clay while there is little to none in the plastic? Just thinkin out loud...

I would water more. Bifoliate Cattleyas are water hogs in the growing season.

got it strapped down to it's pot,we'll see what kind of feedback the next attempt at rooting gives,thx for the input...
