Hello there.

I am interested in purchasing a phal.gigantea. If you have one, where did you purchase it and which hybrid did you choose?

Are the growing requirements different than other phals?

Are they as awesome as they look?

thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing your comments.

I know that Peter Lin offers them from time to time. See Big Leaf Orchids.

I saw one at the orchid nursery in the neighboring town, it was pretty impressive!

Hi,
I have one on my wish list and it is moving closer to the top all the time. I understand they prefer warmer temps. than most Phals. and less light. That's how I'm going to start mine off anyway. I also plan on mounting it so it can grow the way nature intended it to.
They occasionally show up on ebay......and, as Tin said, Peter sometimes lists them at Big Leaf Orchids - online phalaenopsis store

How big was the one you saw?

Thanks everyone for your responses. I looked at the ones at big leaf orchids and they are pretty impressive. I just bid on a cypress driftwood piece that I think would make an orchid look fantastic. They look pretty impressive online, but I think he has several hybrids for sale.

thanks for the input!!

I have a couple that I can sell. They are blooming size but I need to check on the condition to determine a price. It's from the cross of 'JB # 20' X 'Jumbo Orchids' SM/JOGA. PM me for price.

Try looking at Krull-Smith, they were at WOC and had awesome plants.

I have two of the p. gigantea 'JB # 20' X 'Jumbo Orchids' SM/JOGA and they're great. They seem to like higher light levels and resent changes in culture. Kind of like an ornery cat.
