This is a gratitude thread AND a place to share some tough learned lessons.

This board has given me a wonderful opportunity to meet smart people who I can ask questions of, I can read what other do and model it to my circumstances and I can see others mistakes play out and learn from them too

I recently moved about half my orchids, made a new area to meet their needs and feel terrific about how much happier my plants are now that I did what they wanted rather than make them bow to my needs

My big lessons were to watch the leaves. I have some plants that should be good in full sun but they were torched and some reaching for more light. They were talking and I wasn’t listening. I am now

So thanks guys and gals, for all the knowledge and good natured discussion to share it

this is the first of several new areas i made- the first move was to break out the brassavolas and move them here where they are shaded and get mostly afternoon direct sun as opposed to all morning before

the old area for the brassavolas is now all schom hybrids

i also reclaimed this bottom area of the lath house that i allowed to become storage bc i did not think any plants would be happy there.....

this rack was facing away from the sun in my patio and i was not getting enough light and i was getting a lot of 180 spikes too...quick move to this spot where they get filtered early morning light and then shade

i am really seeing the red reduce in some leaves already and i have a good feeling for this new arrangement

Looking good. I like how you hang them, especially with the chicken wire. That gives me some ideas. I think I have some of the same green posts you have.
