Calcium Inhibitor on Misting system safe for orchids?
Hello, we are going away for a couple weeks and plan to rely on a misting system for our bare-rooted vandas. I know that misters will plug up quick with our relatively hard water in Central Florida. Is it safe to use something like this Misting Calcium Inhibitor Filter | Poly-Phosphate Water Filter | MC 601 Poly-Phosphate Water Filter to manage the calcium? I can't tell exactly what's in it, it just says "Poly Phosphate Filter."
Thanks!
Mark

Our water here in the Keys is piped down from the mainland. Homestead I think so it's probably about the same as yours. I've never tested our water but my misters run 2x/day year round and in 4 years I haven't had even 1 get clogged up. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine for just a couple weeks.
Thanks -- I guess I'll try it without the filter and see how it goes. Our water is moderately hard -- about 250 tds from the tap. Not sure if that will cause problems.
