To the uneducated eye (mine) and non-scientific or botanist type mind (again, mine) can see why the it's still confused with Brassavola. Or at least share why I still think of it that way. Those really thick leaves... they remind me of the Brassavola crosses. Now comparing blooms... nope, whole different animal. But I've only seen one in person that was blooming. If I ever get my own to bloom, gonna label it Digger and just enjoy.
Did a DNA test of myself a ways back. Now THAT was just as confusing.
