Hello all,

I have a zygopetalum with really awful looking leaf spots. All my zygos have some leaf imperfections but this one has bullseye spotting.

I did have a mite problem at one point so I wanted to test for OFV which is spread by false spider mites. My mites made webs but who knows? Maybe I had these too.

So far, I can’t find a single test for this. Even critter creek said they won’t test for this. They did tell me that an electron microscope is the most reliable tool. That said, I don’t have tens of thousands of dollars for one of these.

What is my best option for a definitive OFV test?

First, let me point out that an infection that is secondary to an insect bite can give “bullseye” lesions.

Not everything “wrong” you see with a plant is a virus, nor may it even be of particular concern.
