Not all liriope runs. Some clumps, some are short and black, some tall and variegated, all different kinds.

The point being here, I get taken to the woodshed because I don't have a quotation mark in the right spot and you're not even in the ballpark with your genus.

Well that's not quite true, you're probably in the right family they probably are all in the Lillium family somehow. I am not going to look.

i have never taken any exception to anyone's nomenclature nor grammar nor information. I hope that i have not come across as doing such.

I am NOT careful about names and i really only include them as a way to know about a plant and so that the people who care about such things can have their info.

I was only saying what the tag at Home Depot said, i can probably find one still attached to a pot

The spider lily, yes, was the first plant we were talking about that I identified for ya. Lily of the Nile was the second one. Lily of the Nile also has beautiful flowers though. Yep, get some of those guys off the hanging tree and plant 'em! But not six foot deep.

Actually, consider putting them all in the ground, and get some liriope to hang off the fence.

I now have 25 plants, seedling Vandas growing very slowly.
I even begged back a couple that I had given away in the spring, after they finished blooming. It is the same mini phal, which I loved. When I realized I had given two of my favorites away, I thought no problem, I will just order one, but discovered they are not to be found in US, and only shipper is from somewhere in Asia. So I am hoping to get several of my orchids blooming by fall winter and spring.

I'm not Roberta, but yes Early, those are aerial roots (whitish with green tip). And yep, you just learned a valuable lesson as a newer orchid grower... never gift what you can't replace if you love the plant and still "need" one.

Especially the phal hybrids... they come and go, never to be seen again. Or a particular plant is around and popular for a few years, then fades into obscurity and something new becomes the latest and greatest. It's a good lesson to learn early, rather than later.

I have that problem with Monstera adansonii in a similar fashion. I had a huge one, gave it almost all way, lost the rest one year. Now they're a real latest and greatest fad thing, and are crazy expensive so I refuse to buy. I'm still a slow learner.
