Blame it on the Cyrtorchis! It seems that once again, we talk about it and then it triggers a shopping spree of other orchids! 😂

By the way, I'm now shopping for a Gastrochilus japonicus myself...

By the way, if mine tests positive for viruses, you won't hear even a whimper. This one's on me.

I would not worry too much about bud blast on a new plant.
Totally agree. I hardly ever buy a plant in spike on purpose but sometimes they just show up, right?

Mine blasted buds all along one of its spikes, and that was early on before I'd had a chance to abuse it too much. Our spikes were developing in a different home (Marlow). I think the journey to their new homes and adjusting to new environments is enough to stress them a little.

I feel like I'm cheating a bit by posting photos of my plant, because I've had it over a year so it doesn't really count as part of this Podangis Envy project... Since today was a rainy day and I was bored, I pulled out all my camera stuff for a Podangis photo shoot. Apologizes for posting so many photos, I have so much trouble deciding which are my favorites!

OMG. You couldn't post enough pictures of that beauty! I envy your podangis and your camera lens!! Gorgeous.

Also, I think of you and Roberta as charter members of the podangis envy club. You both had the foresight to purchase podangae/ises way ahead of the curve.
