Interesting because the one I bought from him is in a "translucent" pot of sphagnum as can be seen in my photographs.
As I'm growing under lights I'm being super careful to water only after it has dried which is actually almost every other day so far. I have a fan running fairly strong which may be the drying agent.
Once I transport it to FL though it's going to have to get mounted which will be better for it in that environment. I'd be tempted to try potting in wine corks but it will blow away. I have homemade benches in my shadehouse. I build them with a sidewall that is 10" high on all 4 sides around the benchtop. It works great for keeping plants upright even in the windiest normal conditions of 20-30 kts. but probably not if I were using the wine corks.

So cool. I actually just got a plant growing in wine corks and I thought it was super interesting

I have been letting mine get totally dry and then misting but it is almost daily

It’s about 18 hours for dry out so I am trying to figure out The best time but it seems like early AM

Looking forward to that talk

I've had Tolumnia before growing mounted on wine corks, on a stick, stuck into a wine bottle. It's a fun way to do a mount. Podangis sounds similar to Tol. from the drying out standpoint. I always water Tol in morning so there's dry out time prior to night. When inside, they're on a mist timer, and get sprayed about three times, 8am, 11am, 2pm, and have fan movement on them from about 10 foot away.

Been doing same with the Pondangis...misting early morning. Every two or three days (hasn't been here long) giving it a quick dunk in a bowl of water instead of misting.

I noticed the root tips seemed to be struggling a bit (it's in house...still staring at it) so I suspended it inside a little glass creamer pitcher with water below it a couple days ago. We'll see if that helps. I'm too nervous to put it outside with the big boys where humidity is better, but I may have to man up and just do it.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to look at video prior to arrival of company today. Can't wait!
