Anyone know what this is. Found in Connecticut growing in a lawn.

Not an orchid, looks like something in the Labiatae family. If it is it should have a square stem. Can you post a picture of the foliage?

A friend sent out the picture asking for help with a ID so I don’t have access to the plant. I thought it looked like a Dactylorrhiza but didn’t think there were many of those in North America. Labiatae family looks correct.

Hello plant lovers:
the photo is of
Glechoma hederacea
common name: Ground ivy, a perennial creeper in the mint family Lamiaceae.
Tear it up, make tea out of it (add lemon and see what happens) DO Not let it take over your yard as it has here and many other places. It is a European native, that purportedly was once used to flavor Beer before brewers started using hops.
