Course my way is the lazy 'I couldn't be bothered to do much more than sticking them on something and ignoring them'. I get enough trace nutrients from the tap for them, which is why Im good with pleurotallids cause they dont like much either.
Haha, seems that I'd probably get better results it I adopted that method at least some of the time. Still need the occasional lesson that orchids don't do anything fast and potentially do better with less attention.
Yeah, I turned one of the hardest to grow orchids into 'plant I can ignore for the most part'. They really dont like their environment changing, and neither do I for that matter.
Ah I see, I'm afraid don't know any autistic people so I hope my attempt at humor wasn't out of place.
I really appreciate the information you've shared with me, I'm going to see about changing the set up and hopefully getting some better results.
DD- does it bloom in your shower as well? that's tremendous
i have gone to the places in the glades and only once seen one and it was not in bloom...i live like 113 miles (in a straight line) from there and my backyard is too different to sustain them without me doing all the work so i have not gotten one but they are amazing.
I'd love to see pics of your setup..either here or in a new thread so as not to hijack this one.
