Dendrobium trantuanii
It flowered a few months ago, then the Keiki / flower on the right formed a month ago. The flowers usually have a normal round stem. This growth looks like a new cane with a flower on top.
Then I noticed the cane getting swollen on one side. I thought it was just storing water. Then today I see this stem poking out. I slit it open with an Exacto knife and found an almost fully formed flower inside.

WHOA!?!? that's awesome....good instinct to cut it...i am not sure if I would have had the stones..
clearly the correct move!

That’s amazing. And not sure if I would’ve had the stones for that either. Excellent save!

Sorry, Dirty, I wasn't clear. I mean a Phal growing keikis...on their OWN spike, not a flowering spike. Take a better look.
Thought that one of yours is something!

I saw something similar on a walk a while ago where a spike had a keiki with a flower spike of its own. I’ll find the pic tomorrow
