Default Zygopetalum has two spikes coming out of same new growth!

Hi, everyone!

I am new here. I have a zygopetalum that seems to have two spike grow out of same new growth, Has anyone seen this before? The first spike is pretty big and about to bloom, then I discoved that second one coming out of same growth.

I googled, but didn't find thing about two pikes from same growth.

This is a grocery store bought zygo, last bloom was two years ago.

Hi Sara111, Welcome to the Orchid Board!

Zygos often throw more than one spike when they are bigger plants and in good health.

Orchid Board has a number of different forums for different kinds of topics. Some are devoted to specific kinds of orchids. You are more likely to get a useful response if you ask questions in the correct forum.

You can see them all if you click on Forums in the left yellow menu. Scroll down and look at all the different forums. The Maxillaria forum includes Zygopetalum and hybrids. Questions about how Zygopetalums grow could go into the Beginner forum or into the Maxillaria forum.
