I time out daily and seemingly unpredictably. Several pages will load fine, then it's like I've hit a wall and can't get through until I get the time-out error. Afterwards, usually things will run smoothly for a few minutes and then the wall of time-outs again.
I haven't noticed any difference in the last few days. It can be very frustrating when I've only got a few minutes to browse and spend 50%+ of the time waiting for pages to load. Here's to things headed in the right direction!
*Edited to add that I time-out when trying to make this post.

(Sorry, couldn't resist. No, that's not true.... I decided not to!)

Thank you-all for working on this, and hello to Marty the Mysterious! Please let us all know what it would take to upgrade and maintain this fabulous site. With the large number of users, in this day of "Go-Fund-Me" accounts for all sorts of problems, seems like it should be fixable and fund-able. I'm still getting a lot of time-outs and very slow loading, playing a lot of solitaire on the side.

I trying to reach the above post and one other, I timed out 4x. As someone else said, I have high speed Xfinity, so the problem is not on this end.

Yes, still getting time out errors. Ironically, just got one while trying to access this thread.

It's possible worse than before. I've certainly had more trouble in the past 24 hours than previously.

Howdy, sorry for keeping out of sight for a bit, but life got in a way and I had to get away from OB. My host upgraded PHP and we got left behind. We're going to be applying an update to get the forum compatible with the version of PHP and that should clear up the lag/timeout issue. Before we can do that, I need to clean up some files in the orchid board file space as we are using a ton of resources.

Welcome back, Marty.
Thanks for steping in and gives us that info. I'm glad (or should I say we all are) you are ok and it was just not enough time. We were already thinking OB was done.
Thank you again.
