It's extra work, but...
When you are done with your message, click inside the tags box so the cursor is there. Hit the Ctrl key and the A key at the same time. This highlights everything in the box. Then hit the Del key. All the tags are gone. Now you can put in your own tags if you want.

I noticed the tag thing- but never had any issues. But then again; English isn't my language, so I never bother to check before posting

I've recently noticed that editing the tags was a bit troublesome:
I got the "too many tags" error, removed them all and tried to add four relevant tags. Mid-writing, the post decided that there wasn't any problem and posted itself, with, lo and behold, five more or less useless tags randomly selected from the text.
These can't be edited. I've managed to remove the useless ones, but I can't add new ones.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Not that it actually matters, I guess, but I thought it a bit odd.

Is there any way to eliminate having the #!&@*ing tags automatically added to new threads? I can't add tags that I think might be useful, and 100% of the tags automatically added are useless.
I agree 100% with the comments by Trollsvans (only because I can't agree 200% !!)

I know that Rosie had contacted Marty about this, but I don't know what (if any) result there was.
I've pm-ed Rosie to ask.
