I had thousands of notifications as well.
I slightly freaked out thinking something went terribly wrong.
I don't think I like this new change.
Where is the explanation??

There also doesn't appear to be a way to "unlike" a post that's been accidently "liked" unless I just haven't been able to ascertain how....

No I don't think you can. I keep having it say this when I first make a like every day. It may be that I am pushing to hard as our mouse is not working good however.

Is everyone still getting notifications of likes they give out now? I only get notification on the ones that are given to me now, (but I did send a message when it first got changed- that I only wanted to be notified of likes given to me). You are correct Judith, I can't see how to resend a "like".

I'm only getting notification of likes made to me.
I can't see a way to unlike a post either. However I can now get to my list of likes from my profile, previously it only showed up when I clicked on the notification on the left under my name.
I've mentioned to Marty about the links not working from the list of Likes and he asked me for an example which I've sent. We'll have to see on that.
