Default Not allowed to search for term 'rex' ??

I tried a search, titles only, for "rex".

Search engine returned this:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : rex

So I searched for "Cattleya rex", and my search results were only for titles containing "Cattleya", and again got "The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : rex".

So how on earth does one search for all the threads with "Cattleya rex" in the title???

Yep, most forum specific, on board search engines I have encountered don't allow for searches on words of less than four letters. I think the reason is to eliminate multiple unrelated returns on words like "and" and "the".

Yeah, I think that's what's happening. I've come across it before with words of 3 characters or less. It's a pain but I think the way around it is to use Google.

You can put the term in close quotation marks, such as "Cattleya rex" or "C. rex".
