Post pictures in body of message?
I know how to post pictures as attachments on the board, but I'd rather have them show up in the post itself, as I see with other members. How do I do that?
Thanks!

Beth,
using the advanced or full menu entry form, you will see a button with a paper clip on it. Click on this button and upload your picture. make sure the picture isn't too big.
Once the pic us uploaded, click on the paper clip again and attach it to your post.

I just don't remember the size limit. I'm a PC (Windows) user and load it up into the Windows Edit program (right click on a copy of file and select edit). Hit resize and choose 30%. The files end up in the 400KB range and they work fine.

The way I do it is to upload the pics to photobucket, then copy the img URL and paste that into the post. Then you don't use up your posting allotment. The one down side to doing it that way is that if you ever move your photos around in your photobucket account, the links in the post will be broken.

I post all my pictures to Flickr then one by one I copy the BBcode and click on 'insert image' button here in OB and click 'ok'.

Thanks desertanimal and Bud for sharing your knowledge. I'm going to experiment.
Bud, what/where is the BB code?

When you load your picture on Flickr, at the right side is an icon that when you point the arrow of your mouse it will say: 'share this photo' ....this is the icons lined with the star icon first then the BBcode icon is the third....when you click on that: three choices: Link, HTML and BBcode(click on BBcode and you will get a highlighted code in a window then right click on it and copy....paste that here in OB by using the 'insert page' button.
This is a smart way of posting pictures because loading pictures here at OB uses lots of gigabytes and we want to save on extra expense for OB.

Many people who have them in the body of the message do it by putting them on another site (flickr, photobucket etc).
However Carrie's method will give the same result when you attach them to your post. You just upload them to the forum with the attachments button, then click on the paperclip again once they are attached and choose which image you want to insert. It will put some tags which represent your image into the text, and you can put that where you want it in the text.
