Managing Photographs?

How many total photographs can we store in our albums? I apparently reached the limit over a year ago and the only way I can figure out to add a photograph to a new thread is to delete one of my old photos. When I do that, it leaves some of my old threads with no photograph on them. Some people complain about that because they'll do a search to find old pictures of a certain orchid and the photograph isn't there. Is there another way to add photos or increase the number of photos? Is the only option to include a link to a photo on another web-site?
