I've asked Marty about these problems. He has replied...
" spammers are targeting our server. working on it."
My guess is that what the spammers are doing is causing the server resources to be used up on other things, leaving less for the forum... thus causing these problems getting the server to respond to the website 
At least we know Marty is aware of it and working on it 
Please everyone bear with us while this get's sorted. |

More likely that the spammer was using the OB server to send out spam, thus using up the bandwidth that OB had available. |
