Forum wont stop marking threads as read

Ok, it seems like this is the only forum that keeps doing this for me. Whenever, I login and click on the usercp to see the threads I've subscribed to it shows them all. After checking and replying to them I hit new posts to see what everyone else has posted today. Well, it shows usually 2-4 threads. Is there something I can do to make the forum not do this?

The 'new posts' function refreshes frequently. I guess it may not differentiate between your checking subscribed topics from reading all.

A better choice than 'new posts' is 'today's posts' which shows all threads that have been posted or commented on in the last 24 hours.

You can find 'today's posts' under the 'quick links' menu.

Reminds me that I've been meaning to post a topic regarding that, as I think many people don't know about that option

Just a late note on this. The forum logs you out after 15min of inactivity. If you have the 'keep me logged in' check box set you don't notice as it logs you straight back in without telling you it had logged you out... however this has the effect of resetting the unread posts as these are cleared when you log out.

I can often take more than 15min reading a long thread or composing a long message, so find Today's Posts better.
