Definitely a huge improvement, the spam today was ZERO!!! Now let's hope it stay this way for a long, long time! Some days we were banning nearly 30 spammers.

I agree! It feels so weird logging on and not having to report spam posts in the Cattleya Alliance.

This is great, thanks Marty! Whatever you did, it seems to have worked.

Thanks Marty!

It really does seem to have made a difference on the spam and I like the idea of the main page going straight to to the forum as you are right that the articles had not been used as intended.

As luck would have it, I figured out how to report a post as spam on Tapatalk now that it's over, lol... Keeping this in mind for the potential next round. Here's hoping that doesn't happen (knocking on wood).

I'm glad it worked. This latest anti-spam system seems to have done the trick

So it seems this board has more trouble than others with spammers. One of the forums I am on requires new members to send an email to the admin asking for forum privileges and a quick explanation why they want to use the forum. As expected this forum has zero spam. Maybe this is something that can be implemented on this forum?

But then you would need to hire a full-time person to read all the spammers' emails, wouldn't you?
