The two you banned are the same Canadian spammer who always sends his spam under a name with four consecutive letters of the alphabet. Wish somebody could find you where he is and get him out of here permanently.

The IPs are not always static but the MAC addresses are. I'll bring it the "MODS".

Ah, I've just replied to Ted's PM on this before seeming this thread.
Anyway, as Ted said IP's are not static and I've tried looking for a common one which these are coming from with no luck.
I don't believe we can read MAC address. It's certainly not something I can see (I have a little icon which tells me the IP address for every single post on the board... Mauhaha )
I've asked some of the techies here and they don't believe it's possible for a website to read a MAC address. We don't believe it's transmitted through the interweb

I do the same.
However some suprise me. We have a couple of users whose names look like spammers names to me and they are genuine users.
For this reason I have to wait until someone actually spams before I can delete them.
The other thing I do as soon as I log in, and several times while logged in if I'm here a while, is look at the top posters list. If there is any name I don't recognise I go and check it out. I quite often find spammers before they have been reported that way. Most spammers post arround 5-10 messages and that can very easily put them in the Top Posts for 'Today'.
