seems the php errors were caused by something else... a modification that's installed under certain situations flakes out. It's unrelated to the malware issue. Please let me know if something weird happens again. Server is going to get scanned today for signs of trouble by the hosting company. I'll keep you guys posted if anything comes up

My computer is clean (I'm about as paranoid as it is possible to be), and I was getting the weird PHP headers to the point I couldn't log in on this machine last week...

Evidently something is working now, because I'm here!

the php header errors were not virus or malware. These were part of an ad modification that was designed for previous version of the software. It's disabled now

Thanks prem. That's for the OpenX software that can be hosted on my local server. I ran that few years ago, but we got hit once with this before. I switched to their hosted version which isn't sitting anywhere on our server. This is the version that they serve billions of ads per day so that should be ultra secure. Lets see if we can more issues here.

I've had this happen to me before. The first time around, two viruses began to upload themselves to my computer and my antivirus picked them up. I've also gotten the cookie error message.

Something tells me that these viral attacks are linked to whomever keeps posting spam on the boards.
