I just did a few tests with your post and I think the problem is that the URL points to a page on their site NOT to the image it's self.
When you are logged in, do you see any options like 'embed picture' or 'link to picture'. Sometimes they have different URL's you can use to get just the picture without the rest of their page.
I use Picasa, but while they have other links to use it's actually quite fiddly to get hold of the correct link, because they don't give it in the right format for use on this site. As I work in IT I find it quite easy, but I don't know how to explain what I do, so one of the other suggested sites would probably be better.

I've used Picasa which is good and now I really LOVE Picnik...
but...
for posts on OB, we prefer pics not be posted through links. When a pic is removed from an outer source or there's a problem with their site, it leaves a blank space here in the forums.
Try using this method, please

There are two ways of looking at the whole issue of hosting pictures on OB or on other sites.
1. Hosted here, there is limited space and so users may want to remove their pictures to make room for newer ones and you end up with the broken links. Also the space costs Marty money and the more we fill up the more OB costs to run each month.
2. Hosted elsewhere users may forget that there are links to the pictures over here and remove them. Again users may run out of space on the external hosting site and delete old pictures in favour of new. Additionally if a user is paying for space they may decide not to keep up the subscription and the pictures are no longer available.
I think there are pros and cons to both ways of working. Personally I have 21Gb of space at a very very low fee (which I am paying regardless of OB) and I like to host them there because I know I'm very unlikely to run out of space (got 19GB free just now). Others may not have such space available though and so hosting the pictures here is a better option.
It's my view that if users want to use their own space it does not in reality make much difference to OB in the long run.
Just my

On the flip side... there has been a similar discussion in the past on smilies hosted outside of OB.
On that one I fully agree that we should stick to the smilies hosted here. If you use one from an external site you have no control over whether that sites owners remove them or not and we then end up with those ugly red 'x's in their place.
Again, just another of my

Within the link I provided, there is a resizing program. If you use that prior to uploading, it will go smoothly. It's the way I post all my pictures and have never had a problem
