Uploading Picks/1st Post
Hi all;
I am a pro photographer and work primarily in Minnesota, although I am beginning to look for work in warmer climates after the November elections.
I am not an orchid grower, but I lived in Hawaii while I was working for the US Navy, and we used to go to Hilo to pick up orchids for the officers' wives.
I shoot fine art, food, and, because of health issues, prefer to work on location outdoors.
Uploading files...
You need a photo application, and my preference is Adobe Photoshop CS2 or CS3. I also use Adobe Lightroom 2.
After you have photos in your computer, the better cameras capture the images in pixels. For email, your pictures only need to be 72ppi (pixels per inch) by 7" x 5", therefore yielding an image that is about 500kb in size.
My photos can be viewed at:

Have a swell day!

I always save images as 640 pixels (long side) with a Photoshop action then save as jpeg level 8 or 10 depending on how large the final image will be. I try for approx 100K as a target just to keep from running out of gallery space. I also am a pro selling through several agencies world-wide.

I'm looking forward to seeing your orchid photos...but we can not allow for the forums to become an advertisement for anybody's photography business so please refrain from doing so
