OB problems 503
Is anybody else having trouble accessing posts? I normally click on Quick Links from the top menu, then Today's Posts. Now that gets me a 503 Service Not Available error.
If I click on Forums from the left menu I can see all of them. Towards the right is a column showing the most recent post in each forum. If I click on that post in that column I again get the 503 error.
But, if I click on the forum name, I can see the posts in reverse chronological order. I can click on posts there and see them. It is more cumbersome than quickly seeing the most recent posts, but it works.

Problem seems to have resolved itself (just now... a few minutes ago I was also getting 503 but now seems to be OK.)

Posting threw a 503 error, but the post did occur. . So getting better but still in transition I think.

I don't know how it works "under the hood" but likely more than one server is involved... and it may take a bit for all the routing tables to update after everything comes back online.

Also, when I click on the link to the latest post, I get 503ed, but if I go in through the main forum link and THEN to the thread I want, it works.. If I go back to the Board through the main link ( https://orchidboard.com/community) I can get back in . So something is still tangled. Some paths work and some don't. So use the ones that work (not pretty but functional) and be patient.

Late to the party... was out pulling weeds. I'm still getting all the 503 messages ES was talking about. I tried to do an admin function and get a blank screen right now. Will check back again later.

PS Plus the 503 for posting a message. I have to log out of the thread, then back in to see my message.

It's happening for searches too, for whatever that's worth.

The whole site is limping... the basics seem to sort of function if one chooses a path through the main site menu and doesn't panic at the 503 messages when making a post, but that's about it (that works, but then you have to get back in by the main landing page). We're trying to contact the site owner, who is the only one who can (hopefully) fix things.

Australia.
Yes, I got the 503 message too Thursday am when I tried to access New Posts after logging on.
Page said server was busy and to try again later.
Managed to get New posts this time but only this topic was in that section.

Your best bet... go to the Forums list, check the dates/times of latest posts to determine what is "new" and then go to the root of the sub-forum and pick your thread. The "new posts" functiality is probably related to some sort of search and we know that is broken too. A crude workaround, but I think for the moment, it's all we have.

It may have been resolved... I was able to get here from the email link, and when I made the post I didn't get 503-ed.

For most of the day yesterday, I was getting the 503 error, too. I could open the site just fine, but my habit is to immediately click on "Today's Posts." Clicking that brought up the error message, but I was able to "take the long way around" to see the newer posts in each topic. It seems to be resolved this morning.
