Orchid board app???

Hello everyone!!! As you can probably tell I'm a Newby! I just had one quick question, when I first joined a pop up said this had a forum on a app and took me there but after downloading I can't find the orchid board can anyone help with this? Any other forms I should know about too!?!?

First, Welcome.

That app, TapaTalk, has not worked for a very long time. Should the reference to it be removed? Sure... but there has been little or no maintenance to the Board software in general for a very long time. It basically works, so we live with the little bugs... The site works fine from a browser on a phone. (Suggest landscape orientation)

Hello Roberta,

I am a newly and thank you for the response. I was confused about that too. If that is the case why do you all stay here. why not use something like Discord. It has a fully functioning app and a very nice at that. I can set up a well defined server (I am in no way an expert, but can definitely experiment and hand it over to the admins.

To Admins, You all have been doing a wonderful service when it comes to orchids. I would love to help out. Let me know.

The Forum software is old and creaky, but it continues to work. We don't own it or have access to the software itself. The Forum is still a valuable information resource - there are years of contributions, that one can search. At the end of the day, it's about orchids and an orchid community.

There is an enormous amount of information here that would be left behind. We don't own the site and we don't have access to the database.

This site is easily searchable. Discord is not. I run a discord server and know how difficult it is to find old posts.

You can also access many other forums. I'm going to keep it for that reason.
