Frequent logins required on Chromebook
Default Frequent logins required on Chromebook

I'm a fairly new poster and have been surprised about how often I have to login when I'm on the OB. The other day I was trying out uploading photos and creating a gallery. I'm using a chromebook and had my photos in a tab, the OB in a tab and a photo editor\resizer in another and I was switching back and forth a lot and it seemed I was constantly logging in. I figured the switching tab logout is security related. Even without switching tabs it seemed to time out and logout if I was inactive too long.
So, is this behavior normal and necessary? Are there settings that could be adjusted or do I need to live with it and change my browsing behavior. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Appended info: I was logged in when I started writing this post and when I was done and hit the post button I was informed that I was not logged in. so I re-logged in and something weird happened and lost the post and had to restart the OB. I re-logged in and rewrote the post and hit the post button and once again I was not logged in. At least this time the re-login worked. Ill find out in a minute if I can save these changes. New Edit: Nope, had to re-login to save changes.

When you log in, are you checking the "Remember me" box next to your login ID?

Are you sure your browser set to accept cookies, at least for the session?

I switch between pinned tabs all the time and have never had that problem. I think ES is right - a settings issue.

Thanks Estacion, The Remember me check box was the issue. I'm not sure why but my chromebook is not interpreting the code spit out by page template correctly. There are a lot formatting errors in the left side bar including a vertical black line with green pin stripes that overwrites half the check box some the text prompts. I should have seen it anyway but at least on my chromebook the login box is visually a mess and I have the tendency to gloss over it. My bad.

Are you using Google Chrome as your browser? You might want to try a different one. I'm a Firefox user on the PC and on my phone I use the Samsung. No issues.

I am currently logged in on my windows desktop, browsing in Chrome and there still are formatting issues but at least the Remember Me? and check box are in the top layer and are clearly visible. I noticed a thread about possibly updating the OB software and if it happened I bet these issues would mostly go away. Any way I'm good. Thanks everyone.
