How to use tapatalk

I cannot find any details through search. This must be a very simple question for people use tapatalk. I did download the app following the prompt on my cell phone. But I can find orchid board on tapatalk. Did I miss anything? Or do I have to register on tapatalk first?

Tap a Talk no longer works on Orchid Board. Our software version no longer supports it.

This forum has had on again/off again tapatalk issues. I gave up on it years ago.

I believe it requires installing a plugin for the Orchid Board software and that hasn't been or can't be done.

Does this mean everyone is using a computer to browse Orchidboard?

I can browse Orchidboard on my phone using a browser, have same functionality as a desktop except that it's smaller. Size is not so much of a problem if viewed landscape. I much prefer the "big screen" of a computer monitor (but for that matter, I also like writing on a keyboard...) But if I'm away from home and have only the phone, it works.

I found this topic was discussed before and I found previous posts. Somehow the search function did not show them. I think it's a matter of update the software on the server that hosts this discussion board, and the new version will enable tapatalk. This website has so much useful information, it would be nice to rejuvenate it.

I use the Chrome browser, on a PC and iPad. Phone, too, if I’m waiting in a doctors office or something.

I also use a PC most of the time, and the phone is only when I'm on the go. This applies for most things, I much prefer to do typing on a real keyboard, or at least a larger one (like my tablet).

Something is going to have to be done sooner or later, Vbulletin won't continue to support our version of the software indefinitely.... Even if something is done, I've been reading that the latest version is really not good, and vbulletin is a shadow of it's former self. A lot of forum owners are jumping ship to use other forum software.


(Note to people reading this: I'm just an admin, not site owner, and have no control over the forum software!)
