Nice haul... I never had the problem of photos staying large, they did "flash up" big before resizing and this one didn't go through that stage.

That being said, I generally find the entire forum extremely irritating to use on a phone, so 95% of the time I'm using my desktop computer for it.

...That could be why DCs photos are a struggle to load for those that aren't blessed with fast wifi or a 4G mobile connection.
My experience is same as Camille's, except I have an iPhone. Thumbnails... yes, annoying. Orchid Board on a phone...annoying. I use a PC exclusively except for sometimes doing moderator type stuff when I'm outside.

I don't have trouble with photos regardless of how they're posted.

A question ES... I almost always use Gallery here now, and imbed medium images via bbcode. Just easiest for me. Check out one of my threads where I have photos.... can you see those okay?

It is!!! I am setting up a tiny terrarium and this was how I used to baby my little chliochista

I hope this is a good compromise for the pics bc thumbnails are so annoying.

Now it is the smallest of the large sizes (before I had it on xxlarge) so it should be viewable at least but you can click for the full show

It is much smaller than previous ones, but I still need to pan a little to see it all.

Interestingly most of isurus79's photos scale properly on the phone. He uses flickr. But today the amethystoglossa photo showed huge.

DC, for me, that latest photo you posted came up just fine. It did not take any time to load, it's much bigger than the thumbnails, but still fits my screen with room to spare. Again, I'm using a desktop PC, with an older, smallish monitor.

Screenshot of my Android phone. I saw the large image for a split second, and then it was automatically resized. I'm pretty sure the same thing happens on my PC.

what about load time?

I am trying to strike a balance because i certainly want as many of you guys to read and share information with me as possible and i want the threads to be accessible to all with a better option than a thumbnail
